Summer To Fall

NTK has now finished the summer series for 2010. Despite the sweltering temperatures, we had a good series. Many of the classes had tight points battles for podium finishes. The Tag Cadet I class and the Mini Max classes both came down to a battle for position at Summer 6 to determine the series finishes. The combined shifter classes joined us at Summer 6 with 20 entries and put on a great show. The Kid Kart class continued to have a strong showing with several racers completing their rookie races and earning white plates.

Welcome to Kevin Crowe, Justin Hardin, Kurtis Souza, Jeremy Burden, Denis Beaudoin, Jay Goode, Iric Gachman, Jordan Gachman, Seth Higgins, Alex Cruz, Michael Palmer, and Jessica Goode who are all members that raced their first race at NTK.

We also hosted the SWRC series rounds 5 and 6 in July. Racers from around Texas and Oklahoma visited our track for the races and had many compliments. Thanks to all the NTK members that worked the weekend, making it a success for our club.

The Fall series starts on September 11. The first three races are Saturday night races and then we move to Sunday racing for the last three races. We have some special events planned for the Fall. Fall 2 will be family fun night. Chris Williams is race director and is planning a sleepover and games after the race. Plan to come race and stay for the fun afterwards. Fall 5 is Halloween. Reg Richardson is the race director and is planning to have Halloween goodies in the tech barn and pit runner trick-or-treat. Bring some candy to have at your trailer and bring your kids ready to collect some. It is race day, so costumes are not required.

Volunteers Welcome

NTK Board Member George Kraus NTK welcomes volunteers to help on race day and is always in need of corner workers. You do not need to be a member or racer to help work a race. Benefits include a free pass and a front row seat right in the middle of all the action. Visit the forum thread to view the worker list and sign up for a position. No experience is necessary please arrive 1 hour before racing starts for instructions. For more information contact Bob Schabel (972-221-2567).
