Becoming a member at NTK offers you lots of opportunities, including CareFlite insurance, reduced race entry fees, and the right to use the track for open practice on your schedule. For only $310 a year, that's a great deal.
But NTK makes it an even better deal for members by offering two options for reducing your costs. Unfortunately, the rules of these two credits seem to confuse people so here is an explanation of the two credits you can earn at NTK.

First, you can earn work credits. These are worth $25 off your membership renewal in the following year. You can earn as many of these credits as you want, but you can only apply 8 in any year and the rest will rollover to following years. These credits are earned by working a 4 hour shift on a workday. These are usually Saturday morning events on non race days. These days include a wide variety of tasks like spraying weed killer, painting, cleaning, emptying trash barrels, and other tasks that help keep our track in top condition for racing. We also award these credits for working special events like the Winter series, Sidewinder series, SWRC races, TMS booth, and other special events.

Second, you can earn race credits. If you work at a race in the regular points season (Spring or Fall), you get several things. First, you get your spectator pass free for that day. Second, you can get first place points (210) for you or your favorite racer for a race in that series. It can be at the race where you work, or you can apply the points to a race later in the series. You have to sign in on the worker form and designate your point preference prior to the close of registration. You can only take first place points once per series. Finally, for every 2 times you work a race, you earn a free race entry, worth $25. You get both the points and the race credits; you don't have to choose one or the other.

So, come out to work a race (our next one is Saturday, May 21st) and get a discount on race entry fees, or come out and work on a workday and earn membership credits to maximize your return on your membership fees!
