2006 NTK Year End Banquet
The 2006 NTK Year End Banquet will be held on January 27, 2007 in The Speedway Club at Texas Motor Speedway.
The address is 3545 Lone Star Circle 7th Floor.
Social Hour will be held from 6:00pm until 7:00pm.
Speedway Suite tours from 6:30pm until 7:00pm and the banquet will be from 7:00pm until 10:00pm. The cost for adults is $35.00 and children $15.00.

NTK Logo Search Contest.
Eligibility
The contest is open to all NTK club members. NTK would like to have a new logo with a new look
designed by one of it's own members.
How to Enter
Design a new color logo for North Texas Karters. Submit the logo design (in color or with colors noted) in
JPG format by e-mail to secretary@ntkarters.com or an 8.5" x 11"
white paper at the track, club or board meeting or by postal mail to:

Please include your name, address, telephone number and email address with each submission.

Deadline for Submissions: November 30, 2006
Prize
The winner will receive one free ticket to the year end banquet at TMS Speedway Club in January and also a
free race entry. The winner's logo will appear on the NTK Web site, on club T-Shirts and in the
NTK newsletter.
Judging
At December 7, 2006 club meeting NTK members will judge the entries on the basis of:
originality
theme design
appropriateness
The members will vote on the design they think will best represent NTK. The design that wins the
majority of votes will win the contest and become the new NTK Logo.

Rule Change Proposals.
Proposed rule changes for the 2007 NTK racing year should be submitted to the secretary in writing by email,
US Postal Service (700 Meadowlark Lane, Coppell, TX 75019), at the track, club or board meeting. Proposed rule changes
must indicate the rule number to be changed and the change requested. If the rule is a new rule, please indicate as a new rule proposal. Deadline for proposed rule change submissions
is December 17, 2006.
The NTK rules meeting will be held at 9:00am on January 20, 2007 at Chaparral Machinery.

Track Manager:
Knowledge of the operation of the facilities and be able to determine potential problems. This officer shall schedule any contractors that need to perform repairs or work days for the club and when the lawn services need to do a weed kill or field mow. This officer shall work closely with the Planning Chairman and Board of Directors. He or she will enlist the aid of any or all club members of North Texas Karters, Inc. All monetary expenses incurred with the performance of this duty, and performed at this officer's discretion up to $250.00, will be reimbursed from the club treasury.

John Sefcik to speak at Membership meeting March 2, 2006.
On Thursday March 2, 2006, NTK proudly welcomes John Sefcik of SRS Engines as guest speaker for the NTK General Membership meeting.
Some of the topics John will address include blueprinting engines, breaking in new or rebuilt engines, and keeping your engine and carburetor in top condition.
Be sure to attend and hear how you can get and maintain your competitive advantage.

By-Law Modification
A proposal has been made to change the
duty dates of newly elected Officers and Board Members.
This proposal will be
voted on in the March 2, 2006 club meeting. The club meeting is
open to all active members. Members are
encouraged to come to each
meeting to help support your club and hear the exciting news.
The portion of the
original By-Law is as follows:
ARTICLE VII: ELECTIVE OFFICERS, THEIR DUTIES, TERM OF OFFICE AND ELECTIONS
To be nominated and elected to an elective office of North Texas Karters, Inc., a member must be in good standing, with dues paid up-to-date.
The elective officers of North Texas Karters, Inc. will be: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Chairperson, Newsletter Editor, and six (6) members for the Board of Directors.
The office of President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Chairperson, and Newsletter Editor will be for two (2) years beginning January 1 and ending at midnight on December 31 the following year.
Three (3) members of the Board of Directors will be elected each year to serve a term of two (2) years.

proposed By-Law:
