Jim Hickerson Passed

I just found out today that Jim Hickerson passed away last Friday from a heart issue. We will miss Jim's voice at the track as he was a great pass by pass announcer for NTK. :(

Vest Rule for 2017

Kid Kart parents who enter inside the track during the kid kart race must have on a yellow safety vest identifying them as kid kart parents. New rule 2017.

Re: Newbie Questions

Get into a Briggs class (heavy) and learn to drive, then move up into the Tag, Yamaha, Rotax or shifter classes. The Brigg motors are sealed and very low cost to run. Gota learn to walk before running. Very large class and you will have lots of help.

Re: Question from HCKC

John, Just what Dan said. I NEVER used that much gas on a race weekend. Must buy a sealed Clonda motor. No more Harbor Freight motors. Made my motors last almost all year. 2 disk dry clutch lasted all season. I never gave over $600.00 for a complete rebuild / blueprint. Didn't have to change oil and...

Bob,
Maybe, I was dealing with issues at the time too, way too tight. Still sorting out the MG tires. Still, you did finish in front of me. :P

Bob,
Can you go back to changing gears. Good pass on me in 7. I think you are getting the handling thing down. Nice driving.
Slow and old.

Rich,
Sounds like you are dead on the right track. Get a hold of me if you need some help putting it all togeather. I run an older A2 pipe and flex lenght is OK untill you drive it on the track to match up the clutch / pipe. Do you use a head temp gauge ?

Eric,
Just get out there and dive in. You will always start in the back as a rookie. Just fall back if you don't feel OK with whats going on. Get your rookie card now. You must have 6 races signed off before you run on your lap times.
