Rotax Chain Guard

We designed the original "Gaddy Chain Guard" for the Rotax engine. It is RMax Challenge approved. It bolts onto the Rotax Engine unobtrusively for quick motor swaps and protects the radiator and vulnerable water pump fitting. We designed it several years ago and they have been used by many racers in the 2004 through 2008 RMax Grand Nationals and one was on Jake French's kart when he won the Mini Max class in 2007 so they are guaranteed to pass tech at the National level!
Each one is hand made and hand finished in our race car shop.

We recently had one returned that was broken. It was not a Gaddy Chain Guard but a copy of our design. We have been making ours out of 1/4" aluminium for several years. The broken was was made out of 1/8" aluminium and was made out of a more brittle alloy. The broken chain guard had pointed corners, ours have rounded off, smooth corners. All of ours have "GADDY" stamped into them and are made out of 1/4" alloy that is more malleable than the broken one that was returned to us. They are twice as thick, less brittle, more durable and will last longer.
