What size bolts to hold gear to gear hub?
by Rich Luckie » Tue Mar 10, 2009 8:25 pm
I am needing to get some more bolts to attach the gear to the gear hub. I don't have access to a kart at the moment to look. Does anyone know off hand what size they are? Thanks.

typically the bolts will be: if metric 6mmx1 or if american 1/4 28 all will have to have a locking style nut or a drilled bolt for a saftey wire. nylock style nuts are not allowed. hope this helps

WHAT? OK. John is right if you are bolting on a brake disk. metal locking nuts or bolts with safety wire going thru them and no plastic locking nuts. The bolt size is right for sprockets and I use the plastic locking nuts.
