Jr. Super sportsman pipe

Is there a minimum"flex" pipe length between the header and the RLV2 spec pipe on a KT 100 engine? New to karting so forgive the rookie question.

the length of the flex pipe is measured from the face of the piston (on the exhaust side) to the end of the flex pipe, the dimension is a minimum of 9 3/8" to a maximum of 9 7/8". The flex pipe is actually referred to as the connector pipe. Usually a ruler made of steel with a notch cut in the end about 1" long and 3/16" wide proves to be a handy tool in your tool box as the connector pipe can get beat down a little with engine vibrations and could possibly render you illegal if in a tech situation and it was measured short. Shorter is higher revs and longer is more torque, you are only dealing with 1/2", so in the middle is safe and you wont notice any performance difference. Hope this helps.
