Clone clutches

I am looking to get a chonda for my extra kart. If I am not competing should I be worried about running the stock flywheel on the track?
Also what is the best clutch for durability. Again I will not be racing, but allowing guests out who might not be kind to it.

Some of the stock flywheels have developed cracks in them, some new some old. It is a risk, but we have not had any explode at the track. AKRA made the mandatory change due to the flywheels exploding. I would recommend it, whether its going with the economic billet steel thats around $60 or the billet aluminum around $100.
The clutch would be the Max Torque SS, I have ran the same one for 2 years and have had no issues with it. It is also around $60.

We run the Hillard Fury and Inferno clutches, they are little easier on maintence and I believe a better all around clutch for the clone. I started with a max torque and then bought the Fury w/ a bully conversion kit for switching drivers. Also, get the alum flywheel, it is cheapest $100 Insurance policy you can get. We had a magnet fall off one of the stock flywheels in staging this spring, it destroyed the shroud and hit someone in the hand, we were all lucky it did not happen on the track!!!
