Rules for Yamaha Heavy class?
by Mathew Souza » Mon Dec 07, 2009 7:27 am
Hello everyone
I was looking at the winter series classes and noticed that the only senior/masters Yami class is Yami Heavy. So I guess I'm gonna run the Yami Heavy class. What are "ALL" the rules for the class? I have been looking all over the web for the pipe/class rules to no avail. Where can I find the rules for the class. Is there a spec pipe or is it an open pipe? Also any other restrictions I need to know about? I would appreciate any and all help.
Thanks,and Happy Holidays to all

Mathew,
Currently NTK uses the KART 2008 rules unless stated differently in the NTK rulebook. There is a proposed rule change to change our rules to IKF or WKA so that will probably change at the rules mtg in Jan.
I'm not sure what the specs are for Yamaha Heavy, maybe one of the Yamaha Heavy guys can post them for you here.

Great class, but why would you want to switch from KART to IKF or WKA rules?

Mat,
At the board meeting last night it was discussed that instead of Yamaha Heavy, the senior Yamaha class for winter series will be the Sr. super Sportsman class.
So, it should be the setup you had on the kart at the end of the year last year.
They think there will be more participation from the can class than the pipe class and more people are setup for it.

OK, can we have an official, final class structure for all of the classes we will be running for the winter series? It seems like the flier is incorrect.
Thanks again

Mathew,
A revised winter series flyer was emailed to me earlier this afternoon. I was not home at the time to upload it. I uploaded it earlier this evening after I got home. The revised flyer now shows the Sr Super sportsman class instead of the Yamaha Heavy class.
Sorry for any confusion this caused.
