I am!
I hope a lot of area Chonda drivers will join us too.
I'm looking forward to a big Chonda field Oct 24th. Let's see if we can get more Chonda racers than shifter racers.
This is a new class to this area but if we all come together for this race I think we can have a very impressive field. Rob Howden from eKartingNews will be covering the event. This is a great opportunity to get our class some great exposure!

Should have the Kart ready by then. Ordered my chassis today and should be here next week. Where are you connecting the pulse line to the engine. Do I need to tap the valve cover or is there another way. Thanks Jessie

1st off welcome to the chondas! looking at the valve cover while it is on the motor. mark alittle to the left of center about 1/8 to 1/4 from the flange. drill a pilot hole.then work your way up in size. becareful not to go big. i did and had to have it welded.
hope that helps

Jessie,
Welcome to the Chonda class!
Be sure to leave room for the spark plug changing tool when you drill the hole in the valve cover for the pulse line. I'm attaching pic as example.

A huge Chonda turn out would be great. The lower cost alternative to the high tech direction karting has taken is going to help get new racers interested in the varied racing out there. Sure would like to see a Grand Pix start sometime...

Greg,
We are keeping our fingers crossed for a big turn out. Hill Country Kart Club & Gulf Coast Karters have a club race that weekend but I think some of their Chonda racers may be coming anyway.
What is a Grand Prix start, is it a standing start?
Do you mean a Le Mans start where we all run across the track & struggle to get the thing started before we hop in our karts?
We did that at the Kali's Cure Endurance Race & it was a lot of fun!

Have another question, the hole in the valve cover that you have the black tube coming out of, does that need to go to a catch can or where and what are you routing it to. Thanks

Jessie, it doesn't go anywhere, it just kind of hangs there.

That's awesome that you have a Chonda kart all set up already. We all look forward to meeting you Oct 24th. If you have any questions or need help give us a call. Are you coming to paid practice on Sat Oct 23rd? If you are a non member it is $25. If you can make it it will probably be very helpful to have a day of practice on Saturday to get familiar with the track & test everything out. We plan on being there on Sat if you need help with anything.
