Anyone else have a L&T clutch?
by Aaron Bunch » Sun Jun 17, 2012 11:58 pm
I got my KT100 running..but it doesn't move yet. What rpm should it take to get the kart rolling? I have a wet L&Tclutch, but I don't know if it's 1, 2 or 3 disk.

I called L&T and spoke to Jeff. Very nice, very helpful. He walked me through how to adjust the clutch to the original settings....but basically told me this ain't no Chonda and it's common on a piped kart to rev to nearly 10,000 rpm before it starts to move the kart.

Yes, the clutch should engage between 9600 to 10,500 rpms, depending on the type of track
