Sorry for the newbie question but just joined NTK. Read that all novice karts require orange novice plates. Where are these obtained as well as being assigned a kart number?

You can get them at the kart shops, KAM Karting should have some, or put orange tape around your white one, and then use your numbers or black electrical tape to make numbers. bob

Eric and Dianna,
Jim Loomis is the membership chair. He should have a list of available numbers. I can also look them up for you if you have a preferred number and class. Just message your information.
I run a graphics business and have white and orange panels at all the races I attend at NTK. I sell the panels for $1 each. If you already have the plastic panel, you can stick one of these orange panels on top of it until you finish your rookie races, then remove it to be back at the white plastic panel.
If you need the white plastic rear panel, I also have those at the races.
If you want basic black numbers, the club sells them at the gatehouse on race days for $0.50 a digit.
If you want dressier numbers and panels, I can create a custom set for you. Those can include shadows, colors, chrome, etc.
At the races you can find me in the 3rd pit spot down from the grid, with the Polar Graphics decal on the concrete runner.

I have some orange plates. I'll bring them up to the track and leave them in the tech barn. Was going to donate them to the club and folks anyway.
