General Membership Meetings
North Texas Karting Club holds membership meetings on the first
Thursday of every month at the IHOP Restaurant in Lewisville, TX at
I-35 and FM 3040. Meetings begin at 7:30 PM and often lasts approximately 90
minutes.
Officers and Board Members are nominated in November, and elected in
December.
Board of Directors Meetings
NTK Board meetings are held at the Denny’s in Grapevine (1505 William D Tate, Grapevine, TX).
They will be the first Tuesday after the club meeting each month. Meetings start at 7:00 PM and members are always welcome.
Becoming an NTK Member
Family membership is open to the public. Annual Membership dues are $300. The Membership is applied to the family. Membership runs from March through February. New Member costs are pro-rated each month. See the Fee Schedule for pro-rated fees.

Minor Release is only required on Race Days for Entry
NOTE: If the Minor Release signature is not witnessed at the track the form needs to be notarized.
If you have a driver who is a minor, please attach a copy of their birth certificate to your Membership Application.
Benefits of Membership include nearly unlimited use of track
facilities, member discounts for club racing, and the inside line on club
developments.

Racing Season Summary
NTK conducts racing through 4 seasons of club racing with a Polar Bear,
Spring, Summer, and Fall Series. There are also a few special events that
attract racers from other tracks in the region like the SWRC Regional Race
and a 50 lap endurance style race.
Winter Series is a 4 -race series that runs in January and
February. It tends to draw many new members and some
regional/national competitors who enjoy this series in the "off
season". There payouts to the top five in each
class for the points total in the series. This series runs only
in dry weather.
Spring/Summer/Fall series are typically 6 races each with
a points awards for a Season and Year-end Series Champion in each class.
This series runs only in dry weather. Starting with Spring 2008, even number races in the series run 'Backwards' (Clockwise).
Special races may be run once or twice a year, such as a 50
lap Endurance Race.

Normally Races during the Daylight Savings Time period of the year are
run on Saturday Nights, with Racing beginning at 7:00 PM. During the
Standard Time period of the year, races are run on Sunday afternoons,
beginning at 1:00.
Classes of racing are available for everyone from ages 5 and up.
Entertainment Value for All Race Fans!
Club Racing at NTK provides some spectacular racing action that is a
treat just to watch. You do not have to be a Racer or a Club Member
to enjoy the entertaining racing action found at North Texas
Karters. We have Grandstands and catered food available for
Spectators. Pit Passes must be purchased at the Gate; $6.00 for
spectators, $7 for drivers.
NTK Club racing is always looking for good workers to help us conduct
races, and often provides the finest seat in the house. Workers are
given free Pit Passes and must have some training to work. Workers
must be pre-approved by the tending Race Director at least one week in
advance.
Racing Classes at NTK
NTK offers a class of racing for everyone!
Age 5-8 run a Kid Karts. These are smaller scale karts
with rigid specifications to prevent modifications and keep cost
contained. This class is intended to teach the youngest drivers how
to drive, and all competitors are awarded first place finishes.
Typical used package prices begin around $1100 and new packages are around
$2000.
Ages 8-12 run various classes of Cadet Karts. These are
typically Yamaha KT-100 2 stroke powered classes with 7-8 HP. These
kids put on some fine racing!
Ages 12-15 run in Junior Classes on full size kart chassis in
classes ranging from 10 HP KT-100 based classes to 28 HP 6 speed Shifter
Classes. The competition is very strong among these classes at
NTK!
Ages 15 and up run in the Senior Classes ranging from the 12 HP
KT-100 classes to the 40+ HP 125cc Shifter Classes. There are
several very competitive used packages available at bargain prices.

If you have a Cable Modem, DSL, or other high speed connection, you can
watch some great video clips from racing action at NTK. These videos
will play in the Windows Media Viewer.
