NTK Online Event Pre-Registration.
The Board of Directors and NTK Staff members are pleased to announce the completion of Phase 1
of Online pre-registration for karting events held at the North Texas Karting facility.
Online pre-registration allows a karter the ability to pre-register for upcoming racing events
in advance minimizing time spent registering the day of the race at the track.
How it works. The driver, team or family member browses a list of events located on the current NTK
schedule. On the schedule page the team member selects the race to pre-register for. Once the
event is selected the team member is whisked off to a secure page where driver, kart, transponder
and class information is collected and entered along with payment for the event. Payment
is immediately accepted and once approved the team member is provided with a confirmation
number and receipt for printing.
The member then brings the confirmation number and/or receipt to the track on race date and
proceeds to the "Pre-Reg or Next in Line" window "passing" any other members in the "Pre-Reg or Next in Line"
line that have not used online pre-registration for the event. He or she then signs the required waiver and
receives their arm band pit passes.
Members and non-members are urged to use "caution" when "passing" in the pre-registration
line at the track registration booth, "bumping/punting" other teams is not allowed. As a rule of
thumb, teams that have pre-registered are allowed to go to the front of the line OR behind the next
team in line that has previously pre-registered. NTK will have one window dedicated (and clearly marked)
to teams that have pre-registered.
Your printed pre-registration confirmation receipt is proof that you may clearly execute and "pass"
any and all competitors that have not pre-registered online for the event. The only exception to the "passing rule" is
where there is a Guest visiting the track, members are encouraged to "yield" their right of way
at all times.
Online pre-registration will be open until 10pm local time the "day before a race" for Saturday events
and until 8pm the "day before a race" for Sunday events. Times may vary for special events however,
will be posted on the web site in advance.
The Staff also announces that phase 2 will incorporate a number of enhancements to the current online
pre-registration software. Visit the current NTK schedule for details on registering online.
July 26
Rotax Grand Regional East.
11 NTK members traveled to hot & humid Ocala, FL to attend the Rotax Grand Regional East held July 19 - 22. All drivers and crew members have arrived safely home and here are the details from Ocala.
DD2
Nathan Mauel qualified 6th out of 16 DD2 karts, finishing 5th in the pre-final Mauel
improved on that in the final heat coming in 4th which guaranteed him a spot at the Rotax Grand Nationals
in September.
Rotax International
Dean Boyd came in 31st after being taken out by
another kart in lap 21 of the 23 laps.
Boyd started the final in 31st position and made it up to 13th before retiring with a flat tire which
turned out to be residual damage from his tangle in the pre-final.
Rotax Junior
There were 4 Rotax Junior racers representing NTK in Ocala.
NTK Rotax Junior drivers qualified very well, Gabriel Bargas qualified 4th, Taylor Stawicki 6th,
Clay Settles 10th & Clint Korte 16th. Settles had the best finish in the 24 kart pre-final posting a 7th victory while
Stawicki hot on Settles tail claimed an 8th place finish. Korte came in 11th and Bargas finished 18th in the pre-final.
Korte was the highest finishing NTK member in the Rotax Junior final posting an 11th place victory with
Bargas claiming the last transfer spot and will also be going to the RMax Grand Nationals with a 15th place finish.
Settles was unable to complete the 30 lap final and retired after 12 laps of competition.
Stawicki had a great start in the final heat only to be run over from behind in lap 3 causing him to
lose his pipe & forcing him to retire early.
Rotax Masters
DJ Ortiz was clearly the fastest Rotax Master last weekend in Ocala qualifying first despite having trailer problems on the road causing him to arrive at the track late & to miss a few of the practice sessions.
Despite reduced practice time Ortiz was the winner of the 19 kart Rotax Masters pre-final finishing a scorching 2 seconds ahead of the second place kart. Robert Daigle finished 15th. The final was a very close
race, DJ finished 2nd, less than half a second behind the first place finisher and Daigle claiming the 17th spot.
Mini Max
"Flyin'" Jake French finished 11th in the 30 kart pre-final & Alex Tartaglia came in 18th.
French improved his finish in the Mini Max final heat coming in 9th and Tartaglia claiming 24th place.
Congradulations to these NTK members and Crew. "Good Luck!" to Nathan Mauel, Clint Korte, Gabriel Bargas, DJ Ortiz and Jake French at the Rotax Max Grand Nationals in Utah this September!

Flyin' Jake French.
Jake French piloting a Margay chassis powered by a Rotax Mini Max engine gave the field and fans a wake up call this past
weekend. Jake, the current NTK Rotax Mini Max class record holder easily rode past the old record. Nobody know's like Jake,
just ask him, he'll tell you, "40.356 belongs to me"! Jake will be competing in the upcoming KART Nationals this coming weekend where
he leads the class, some 90 points ahead of fellow NTK-mates Hannah Baker and Alex Tartaglia. When it comes to Mini Max, Jake knows how to bring home the iron!

27 NTK Members Hit the Road Again.
Last weekend a large contingent of NTK racers traveled to the KART Southern Sprint Regional Series double race,
double points weekend hosted at the Heart of Texas Kart club in Waco, TX. The unequaled hospitality of the HOT
kart club members along with the challenge of their technical track was a strong draw for many NTK and Oklahoma
racers to compete in Waco.
Saturday May 13
It was a complete NTK podium in the Kid Kart class with Chance Bronstad coming in 1st place followed by
Chris Clarke then Michael Schneider. Junior Lite 2-Cycle finishes were also impressive with Connor Iseli
in 1st place, Chaz Nagel in 2nd, Joe Taylor in 4th & Azaly Marquez in 5th. Junior Super Sportsman was
the largest class & NTK members faced stiff local competition. The best NTK finish went to Brandy Edwards
in 4th place, Peter Renegar 5th, Brendon Bailey 7th, Bradley Kitchell 9th & Ross Flores 10th. Chaz Nagel
did double duty in the TAG Cadet class coming in 2nd with Alex Kerkove in 3rd. In Rotax Mini Max Jake French

with Jeff Cloud getting top honors and Chuck Jensen in 2nd, unfortunately Sean Owens broke which put him in
last place. TaG Senior saw Garrett Bailey in 2nd place & Eric Kitchell in 3rd. Travis Renegar won the Senior
Super Sportsman class.
Sunday May 14
Sunday started out with some bad weather and racing was postponed due to the threat of Lightning.
When the racing started it was on rain tires which made for some interesting driving for most NTK
members who have limited driving experience in the rain, however things improved enough to race the
final on slicks. In the Kid Kart class Chris Clarke came out on top, Michael Schneider was 5th &
Chance Bronstad was 6th. Chaz Nagel took 1st place in Junior 1, Connor Iseli 3rd, Joe Taylor 4th &
Azaly Marquez 6th. Brandy Edwards improved her finish in Junior Super Sportsman on Sunday coming in 2nd,
Peter Renegar 5th & Brendon Bailey 7th. Alex Kerkove won TaG Cadet & Chaz Nagel came in 3rd. Jake French
once again reigned in Rotax Mini Max and Hannah Baker came in 3rd again! NTK swept the podium in Rotax Jr!
Gabriel Bargas won 1st place, Clink Korte was 2nd, Clayton Auston took 3rd again, Devin Mauk 5th, Brandy Edwards
7th & Taylor Stawicki was 8th. Sean Owens got his kart fixed & took 1st place in Rotax International and

The third round of racing this year resumes at NTK this Sunday with the running of the Polar Bear 3 event.
Polar Bear 3, the popular Lone Star Winter Series money event
will kick off with controlled practice beginning at 11:00 AM and fast paced, high speed wheel to wheel racing action, Texas Style, starting at
1:00 PM Sunday afternoon. The bag of cash is growing across all classes and it's certainly not to late for any of the drivers
to reel in some cash. Even in some classes where there are repeat checkered flag winners it's still too close to make a prediction.
Participation and attendence in the previous two PB events has been good, as expected, with many drivers making the trip from out of state.
The weather forcasted for this weekend will be sunny with highs reaching near sixty degrees on Sunday. Race Director D.J. Ortiz will be calling the

No waiting in line and no stopping!
There was no waiting in line when the green flag flew on Sunday's Polar Bear 2 event at NTK.
Loomis, Thomas, Tartaglia, Stawicki, Salsini, T. Renegar, Riedel, Ferguson, Mckinney, French, Settles, Owens, Minchillo and Donaldson all made quick work in their respective classes.
There appears to be no stopping Thomas, Stawicki, Owens, Minchillo, French, Renegar, and Riedel. Each have twice seen the checkers first from Flagman Dan Esparza in both Polar Bear 1 & 2 events.
The track appeared to be somewhat slick as the previous day hard rain cleaned the surface pretty good. The sun was
out most of the day and heated the track up as well as some close racing through out the event.

NTK announces Polar Bear 2 Sunday, Jan 29, 2006.
The green flag will drop at 1:00 PM on Round 2 of NTK's Polar Bear Winter Series this Sunday.
Last weekend was a wash out however, this Sunday appears to be a totally different story.
The weather forecast is calling for clear skies with temps expected to reach near 80 degrees.
Mechanics, drivers and karting enthusiasts are on the edge of their seats after having to wait another week to try out
new classes and equipment. NTK typically draws a large field for the PB events since many tracks don't have racing schedules starting until mid to late March.
This "Dash for Cash" 4-race series does pay cold hard cash which,
also tends to attract many drivers.
Gates will be open early Sunday, controlled practice begins at 11:00 AM and green flag racing starts at 1:00 PM.
