Important- Each team/driver and kart will be weighed before and after the Main Event. There will be no adding or removing weight after safety inspection for safety reasons. All drivers must complete a mandatory minimum of 25 laps.
WEIGHT CALCULATIONS:
The basic formula to determine the weight for each class having 1,2,3 or 4 drivers is as follows: A + B = C
- A = kart weight in lbs.
- B = drivers or driver weight in lbs. with full racing gear. Total drivers weight divided by the number of drivers.
- C = total weight of kart plus drivers’ average weight should equal or greater to the NTK rule book weight. Class weights listed below.
- C for Jr1 240 lbs.
- C for Jr2 is 310 lbs.
- C for 206 Sr is 360 lbs.
- C for 206 Heavy is 390 lbs.
Example: Heavy class with 4 drivers: A (203.75) + B (175 + 165+ 215+ 190) 745/4 = C (driver wt. 186.25 + kart wt. 203.75) = 390 lbs. minimum class wt.
