Re: Several more Chonda questions
short track gearing, it is generally better to go to a 14 on the driver instead of going into the 60's with the rear gear as it is very tall and may drag on the curbs. i honestly do not remember what worked for the short track exactly but it is all going to depend on weight and the drivers ability. ...

Re: Best way to get into karting - 25 Y/O
Come out to the track this weekend, it's our last race for the year and check everything out. Finding a kart is usually not hard to do, especially this time of the year. We have a club kart that you can take out after the races and get an idea of what level you want to start at. This is a great plac...

Re: 80 CC Shifter Setup
It looks like you need somewhere to attach the cable housing to on the steering wheel side. I dont worry about the adjustment on the cable. I can give you a hand with it if you are up there tomorrow night.

Re: How fast does the Chonda class run
Matt, Yes it is just as simple as swapping the motor and mount. If you don't mind throwing money at engines, it can be a big expense depending on if you buy them new or not. It is not required that you move up gradually, just getting a good feel for driving and handling of a kart is a good start, th...

Re: How fast does the Chonda class run
Matt, The Chonda class is great to teach you to drive. The low power requires you to run a good line, you cannot make up for a bad turn with power. They are very low maintenance, cost, and don't require much tuning. We have a club kart that you can take out after a race and get a feel for. They are ...

Re: 16 Year Old interested in Karting...
Matt, It sounds like he has a good headstart from bikes. In my opinion karting is much safer than motocross, I'm not saying it isn't dangerous but is less dangerous than motocross. My easiest and best suggestion would be to come out to the track during a race and check out the different classes up c...

It was discussed using a high temp RTV or a gasket sealer on the side cover and the valve cover in addition to the stock paper and cork gaskets.

Tony, You are not required to buy a transponder, we rent them at the track for $10. I would keep an eye on our classified section in this forum and also ekartingnews.com's classified forum for a used transponder. The brake master cylinder bolts, the easiest thing to do would be to take them out and ...

Carlos, I'm no expert on this yet, but I'll try to help you out. Right now, I am running 40:1 with AMSOIL Dominator Oil Mix. http://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/motor-oil/2-stroke/dominator-synthetic-2-cycle-racing-oil/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The water I run disti...

Re: Getting Started
My best advice would be to come out to the track and talk to many of the racers. The first thing is how much you want to invest to start, then go from there. We have a great entry level class with relatively low cost and maintenance. We also have a club kart you can come out and drive after the race...

Re: clone side cover question
The clutch side, you should only have to safety the 4 bottom bolts, the 2 top ones should butt up against the chain guard.

Re: Clone help
Hi Patrick, glad to see you are wanting to come race with us. First off, yes the BSP1 cam is ok to run at NTK. I think most of us run the CL-1i. I am not sure the exact differences but we run AKRA rules for the engine specs. Here is the link to answer all your questions. http://karting.4cycle.com/sh...
