Re: IAME X30 or Rotax Jr.

David,

We plan to run the X30 but not till later on. I have some personal things we have to get done during the spring and will not be available. I also need to sell his two chassis to afford it lol.

Re: Some questions about NTK and karting

Caleb, As Leon mentioned LO206 is the most economical class and also the fastest growing class across the Nation. An entry level Kart can be bought brand new for $3,995 that would be ready to race. There are a few extras you might also like to have as well that would raise the price but they are opt...

Re: Questions about Box-Stock Animal

Yes, it is possible. It is very confusing to everyone so don't feel bad. The Animal engine has been around for awhile and is basically the same engine but did not have the seals so engine builders could customize them to their liking. Of course the price tag could go anywhere with that type of racin...

Re: Questions about Box-Stock Animal

Chris, The big difference in an LO206 and an "Animal" is the hologram seals on the engine. As long as you have those you will fit in the LO206 class. The link you supplied is all the correct items ie.. the pipe can be an RLV 5506 or 5507 as per the Briggs rules. Most of our drivers are usi...

LO206 Rule Update / Clarification (fuel pump)

I have had a couple of calls in regards to the fuel pump identification not matching what the Briggs LO206 rule package called out. They have made a correction to the wording as follows: Copied from the Briggs Racing website: It was brought to our attention that an error exists in the visual identif...

Question for you Go Pro users!

Just curious what the basic package that is needed for a good quality video for use as a driving trainer. Do you need the full blown Hero4 or is the 3 or even the basic enough? What add-ons are needed to mount it on the kart.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Short track gearing

Thanks Boyd, I think we are running a 16T driver now and I have a 15T on hand. I will start with that change and also see what sprockets I ordered.

Short track gearing

Doing a search I can only find post for Chonda short track gearing. Would this be similar for the Animal gearing?
This would be for my son's cadet kart at 250#'s

Thanks

I am not currently racing but do plan to eventually. I think this system sounds great and I would definitely vote for it when I start racing.

Re: Briggs Motors in Kid Kart

Another great feature of the Briggs LO206 motor that has not been mentioned is that once finished with the Kid Kart class all you have to do is change out the Ign Coil and Slide, switch it to a cadet chassis and you keep racing! The base motor is the same for all the classes, so now that initial $90...

Re: Selecting a Helmet

Thanks for replying Eric, if you search YouTube for Bell Revolver EVO you will see the cool factor I was referring to lol. When the kid touches the button under the chin and the SunShade pops down automatically that was all it took. Unfortunately that is one of those modular helmets that only has th...

Selecting a Helmet

Newbie Question, I'm trying to locate and order a reasonable helmet that also has the "Cool" factor for an 11 year old. (He saw some DOT Street bike helmets with auto sunshades that naturally can't be found with a Snell rating for the same price). Reading the rules on the site NTK still wo...

References to Weights

I'm a newbie so I am trying to figure out all the lingo that is being used here on the forums. When looking at the different Kart Classes, I see a reference to total weights but have no idea how much a typical Kart would weigh. With a Sr chassis and a Yamaha 100 what would be a typical weight for th...
