Evinco Blue tires for all LO206 classes
Just a quick note about tires for LO206 classes at NTK. Thought I would post this since I've had many people ask about tires.
Evinco Blue tires will be used in all LO206 classes at NTK.
As of Spring 1 Evinco tires must be run in all classes to score points.

Re: Some questions about NTK and karting
Welcome to NTK. Leon and Tony are correct the LO206 is by far the most economical and probably the most fun to be had right now at NTK. LO206 karts are very low maintenance and the racing is always close and class just keeps growing. We have a wide range of experience levels in the LO206 classes at ...

Re: Class questions
Richard, as Bob said you definitely won't be bored. The LO206 classes are often have some of the best action out there. Another nice thing is there's basically nothing you can do to the engine, so the focus is on driving and chassis. Last race of the season I left my kart at the grid because I also ...

Re: Short track gearing
I think dropping 1 tooth on the driver will get in the right range. I've dropped a tooth on the driver and then added a tooth in the rear on the chonda. If he's still running the 6100 rpm coil you want to try and hit the rev limiter somewhere near the end of the first straight. Let me know what driv...

Interest in "Pea Pick" v. Qualifying
Some us in the Animal class have been talking about running "Pea Pick" style rather Qualifying. With "Pea Pick" we would get to race 2 heat races and then a final instead of Qualify, Heat and final. I was told that if everyone in the class wants to do Pea Pick, then we could do i...

Re: Exhuast systems / valves For chonda
Haven't heard anything definitive on what will be allowed. They had a board meeting last night, hopefully this was discussed. When I spoke with Tom, he said we would see how it goes at this next race. I'm sure they'll be some discussion about it at the race. I won't be there, but I'd like to put in ...

Re: Exhuast systems / valves For chonda
We had a meeting with the Chonda driver's that were there at the end of the night to discuss the pipe options. Looks like it was decided that we would see if there's much difference in the weenie pipe vs. the big pipe on the long track next weekend. I e-mailed John, Bob and Tom (Tech inspector) earl...

Re: Several more Chonda questions
Thanks for the tips. That gives me a better picture of how to do the oil absorbent pad.
I was thinking it would be better change the driver for short track also. Right now I only have a 15 and a 12, so I'll have to get a 14 to try. Guess I'll do some experimenting with it.

Several more Chonda questions
Sorry more questions. I'm hoping to get my kart switched over to race Chonda in the first spring race. What size jet are most people running in their carb? I'm looking to have 4-5 in a range to test with. On the absorbent pads that needs to be under the motor, would it just be a "pig mat or oil...

Chonda questions
New to karting and NTK. I'm working building up a chonda motor and I'm not sure on some of the current rules. What header/muffler will be used for 2014? (Thought I read some where about a change from last year. ARC billet aluminum flywheel required? What cam are most people running in the chonda kar...
