Looking at a kart for my 5 year old question is do the kid karts have the mg tire rule and if so what am I looking at price wise to get a set used would be great trying to keep cost down

Hi Leon,
Yes, we are an MG Sponsored club and all classes are required to have MG's in order to get points. You can race with any brand you want, but you will be DQ'd.
In terms of cost, a new set of MG's is around $200.00 and depending on how much you practice, they can last up to a season or maybe more. I've seen used sets in the 50-150.00 range, and again depends on how much they have left...
What you can do (I know purists of karting will disagree because of different setups) is to have a set for when you go to practice and another for race days.

Ok thanks will need to find mg's me personally don't care about getting dq'd but won't do that to my 5 year old won't understand not getting her trophy because of me lol
