Hey guys,
I had my first real full speed test in my kart the other day, and I noticed something odd....
In the hairpin (turn 7) Im having a lot of "hopping" thru the turn until I wind out the steering into the next strait. All the other turns dont do that, just the one. Am I entering the turn wrong? I dont think Im doing much different in that turn, off the curb totally, not trailbraking...
THX!

Matt,
The track has a lot of grip as we have put Rhino Hide down in the turns. It sounds like your rear end is too "tight" & the inside rear is not lifting to allow you to go around the turn without hopping.
I drive a Chonda & know nothing about shifters but maybe this will help to give you ideas to loosen your rear end up.

I'm sure a shifter kart driver will post & give you more specific tips for a shifter kart.

It sounds like you have too much grip. You can open the rear of the kart to like 54 3/4 and check. You can check if you have any bar on the back if you have it you can remove it and check.the same with the side bar.not enough springs on the accelerator(lucidos) advice and it works.
