Newbie Questions

Post by Sam Martin »

New member here! So I'm completely new to karting and just recently went to a race and feel in love with it. I grew up racing dirt bike and gave that up about 2 years ago just because I kept getting hurt. I'm 25 yrs old and 6'4, 190lbs. What platform would be the best to get my feet wet with?? Any particular brands or manufactures to go after? Any advice would be great! thanks for the help

Get into a Briggs class (heavy) and learn to drive, then move up into the Tag, Yamaha, Rotax or shifter classes. The Brigg motors are sealed and very low cost to run. Gota learn to walk before running. Very large class and you will have lots of help.
Racing is life, everything else is just waiting.
