Is there a spec tire requirement for the Senior Animal/Clone class?

MG's for club races. For SWRC races it's Bridgestone. Not sure how strict they have been on enforcing the tire rule, yet. I have seen MG's, Bridge's, and Dunlaps. No size rule that I know of. Maybe someone else knows more than me and can chime in.

Michael,
Mike is right about the MG requirement. MG is the tire sponsor at NTK, so you will have to run MG's at any NTK club race. The only exception would be if you are running in the Rotax Challenge series (which is obviously not your intention).

If you are running on other tires you will be allowed to race, but when the scales worker checks you after the race you will get DQ'd for the wrong tires.

I hope we get to see you out racing soon.

Michael,

We would love to see you race in either the Animal or Chonda class. Come out on race day to check them both out. We have a kart you can take a few laps in during the break between the pre-finals & finals if you want to try out a Chonda kart.

Chonda rules We are using the SWRC Chonda rules for now except the tyres need to be MGs. The rules are subject to change if necessary to suit the NTK track.

Animal rules

The Chonda class requires used tyres. This is to keep costs down. Of course if you can't find used tyres & you have to buy new tyres they are considered used after you practice in them. As long as they are used in qualifying they will be fine.

Thanks for the input. I have not been on a set of MG tires yet but I will probably have a couple of practice sessions on them before race day, so they will qualify as used. It will probably be in May before I am race ready, recouping from knee surgery. :(

Michael,

We look forward to seeing you at the track.

Will you be in the Animal or Chonda class?
