Clone Engine Help

Post by Jordan Dutton »

I just recently got my clone motor mounted onto my chassis, and getting pretty close to start running it. However I need a little help with a few things before I start working with it. Number one, I know that the motor uses 30wt synthetic oil, just wondering what brand is the best to use, and where exactly can I get some? I've looked at a few automotive places but can't seem to find any. And second, with the motor being brand new, what is the best way to break it in and prep it? ANY help, advice, and feedback would be very appreciated. Thanks!!

I use Amsoil 5W-20 with no problems. Give me a call today after 4 at 513-515-8437. Or I will just reply with break in procedure when I get a few more minutes.

You're welcome. Gene wrote those break-in procedures & gave them to people when we started the class a couple of years ago.

We buy our oil at Walmart in the large 5 quart size.
