I have had a couple of calls in regards to the fuel pump identification not matching what the Briggs LO206 rule package called out. They have made a correction to the wording as follows:
Copied from the Briggs Racing website:
It was brought to our attention that an error exists in the visual identification of the Walbro fuel pump. The retail part number is 808656 while the production number molded into the pump itself is 808492.
The current wording is:
15. Fuel Pump
Only fuel pump, B&S part number 808656 is legal for competition. This fuel pump can be identified by both the part number and Briggs and Stratton Diamond logo on the pump face. All other pumps are prohibited.
Corrective wording:
15. Fuel Pump
Only fuel pump, B&S part number 808656, is legal for competition. This fuel pump can be identified by the Briggs and Stratton Diamond logo on the pump face. All other pumps are prohibited.
And here is the link in case you need to verify the origin.
