* North Texas Karters is not a kart rental facility. We are a dedicated kart racing track. The demo rides are held on a closed course with full safety gear and professional coach instruction and monitoring.

Karting 101 Driver Experience

Twice a year, North Texas Karters holds a free “Karting 101 Driver Experience.” These Friday evening events are hosted by our members. Hot dogs, chips and drinks are included. You will get a full orientation about kart racing including:

  • Safety
  • The different types of karts and racing classes
  • Kart maintenance
  • Costs
  • How to obtain sponsors
  • Get to meet and hear from a professional race car driver.

 

Then we’ll suit you up and get you on the track for some hot laps!

The Karting 101 Driver Experience will be held on February 22nd, 2020 and August 22nd, 2020.

Winter racing is the opportunity to hone skills and prepare for the new year. It also means cold cash payouts. Top three finishers in every race pay for every class (minimum 5 drivers per class). There are no championship points or payouts.

-= PAYOUTS PER RACE =-

$25 per entry will be put towards the class payout.
1st: $55% / 2nd: 30% / 3rd: 15% (percentages of the prize pool)
* minimum 5 drivers in a class for payout.

Entry: $60
Driver Pass: $10
Spectators: $10
Transponder: $10

Race 1 - Jan 11 (1 pm)
Race 2 - Jan 25 (1 pm)
Race 3 - Feb 8 (1 pm)
Race 4 - Feb 15 (1 pm)

-= Snow / Ice =-

In the event of a race cancellation due to snow or ice, the following race will be a double header and so on until all 4 races are completed.

Qualifying, 8 lap pre-final, 16 lap final.

Schedule A Test Drive

Are you interested in kart racing? Not sure what to do or who to talk to? Want to test it out?

We offer one-time “test drives.” Simply schedule a time to come up to the track and meet with one of our qualified instructors at NO COST.

We will:

  • Discuss the proper kart racing class for your age and interests
  • Instruct you on safety
  • Provide you a racing kart, racing suit, helmet and other safety gear for the session
  • Guide you through getting on the track and putting in some laps

The session is completely free.  A great outing is to schedule the test drive after a club race, so you can experience the race day excitement, see all of the different karting classes and end it with a fun drive.

Safety is our utmost concern during these sessions. Rest assured that you will be taken care of. Parents, we are very careful with test drives for children and teens. Children in the “kid kart” age range will initially have the kart tethered to the instructor in case of the need for an emergency stop.

We will provide you all of the information you need to make an informed decision if you desire to pursue kart racing. We have two race teams at our track who are also available to guide and help you at whatever level of support you need or want.
