Hello Members,
I would like to start by saying thank you to each and every one of you. Give yourselves a round of applause, because Spring 1 Race was safe and successful with an attendance of 256 combined racers and spectators. Thank you to all the volunteers, officials, racers and racers' families for helping and attending the race.
So far all projects on hand are been worked on and completed as time and weather permits. Our first work day of 2020 was the most attended in the history of NTK. I personally thank you. Let’s do it again soon. We still have items on the table which will be addressed and completed as time permits.
As all of you are aware, we are in the midst of an unfortunate and difficult situation with the covid-19 virus. We as responsible individuals need to take the necessary precautions and measurements on and off the premises to limit and reduce the spread of the disease. In the USA and most places around the world the local, state and nationwide authorities are recommending to stay home and employ “social distancing” to reduce the exposure and spreading of the virus.
We the officers at NTK are taking the necessary precautions as recommended by authorities to prevent further spreading. We are canceling SPRING 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6 and further evaluating upcoming races as updates and information is gathered from our local, state and federal authorities. As of a few hrs ago the CDC recommends to limit the gathering of individuals to 10 or less.
We recommend for each and every one of you to follow the guidelines to prevent the spread of the disease.
The officers of NTK will diligently continue to keep the membership informed of any updates pertinent to our North Texas Karters club and track.
Members, ultimately each and every one of you is responsible for taking the necessary precautions to prevent any further spreading of the virus among yourselves and the public. Social distancing is recommended per the CDC.
Please stay alert and follow healthy guidelines during this difficult time. The track is open for practice at your own risk until further notice. Hope we can get back to the black top racing soon enough.
Our prayers and thoughts for those affected by the virus.
